It's SNOWING!!
I'm really starting to acclimate to my new climate. This morning I didn't even cringe when I looked it said 17 degrees on my really cool Sharper Image thingie that tells me how cold it is outside/inside, what the humidity is, barometric pressure (I don't even know what that is) and various other factoids that are lost on a weatherplebe like me. I've discovered that the key is just knowing how to dress and it's kinda nice to live in a place that has four seasons.
However, my office so enjoyed the fact that, for the first month I lived here, everytime a snowflake drifted by my office window I would run into a member of my team's office shouting "it's snowing!! it's snowing!!"that now I have to keep doing it. A little of the enthusiasm is wearing off though, as a moment ago I looked out my window...saw that it is snowing...sighed...picked up my "L" coffee cup (my most favorite one)...walked into my friend Steve's office, took a sip of coffee, waved one hand limply around and said "it'ssnowingit'ssnowing" and walked out. He still laughed.
I have felt the same way! We have gotten something like 50 inches of snow!!! AND we are getting them only one or two inches at a time!! It snows almost every other day here (apparently this is unusual...I hope so!) I was so excited about the snow until about a week ago...
